GJK is an independent, non-profit preschool located in the Takiff Center.
Acceptance in the program is based on availability in the following order of priority:

Child currently attending GJK

Child or sibling has at any time attended GJK

Child currently resides in Glencoe (i.e., family owns, rents, or has a contract to purchase a home)

Child currently resides outside of Glencoe
NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATORY POLICIES AS TO STUDENTS: Glencoe Junior Kindergarten and Nursery School admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and scholarship programs.
If more applications are received within a particular priority group than spaces are available, students will be selected by lottery. Families will be notified by mail from the Glencoe Park District of acceptance in the program within seven days of registration. Applicants for whom space is not available will be placed on a waiting list, if desired. The director retains discretion to make class changes and place children outside of the registration priority or the waiting list if such placement is necessary to maintain age and/or gender balance in the preschool classroom.
A $250 registration fee is required for all applicants at the time of registration. The registration fee will be refunded only if space is not available in the program for which you applied.
